Christmas in July 2013

We changed things up a bit as we started making Christmas Cards. This year we are going to make 3 designs for each month and make 12 cards.   Here is one of the cards we made this month.   it is on the glitter paper to cover up the stamped scratch paper underneath :)

Paper:  Real Red, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Polka Dots DSP
Ink: Real Red
Accessories: Linen Thread, Button

The strips at put on with dimensionals and the stamp is retired.  I usually put out all my sayings and people can choose what they want.

Greetings For the Seasons - December

Ashley had an event for her downline and we made a Halloween project, Thanksgiving Project and a Christmas Project.  I took her Christmas Project and expanded it to create two classes.  We had Class One in November and Class Two will be in January.  I am going to post each month separately - starting with December.  This is the one we made at Ashley's.  I changed up the tag so that all tags velcro onto the vase.

Black Friday Card Class

We had a class on Black Friday.  There were two other cards but I do not have them phographed yet.

This card is one of my absolute favorite.  Marilyn brough her bling and spruced up the trees.  So cute!

This side step card was a bit easier as there was not quite as much cutting.  Cute! Cute!

This is a tri-shutter card.  The owl card that we made like this is my favorite. I will find the owl card and post it soon.

Scentsensational Christmas

We had a class in November centered around the stamp set Scent-sational Christmas.  We made cards, tags and I made a few little surprises for them.

I love the Bashful Blue and Chocolate Chip together.  And I love the punched trim.  It really offsets the card.  The two cards below are little notecards.  They are quick and easy to make.

Thid is a cute center stair step card.  I love the silver glimmer paper is used for the sparkly stars and clear rhinestones.  So the Sparkly and Bright saying just fit.

I love the mitten card and how they hold the cup of cocoa.  We changed this card up a bit in the class where we added a gumball green punch trim to the top and bottom as we did in the above gingerbread blue and chocolate card.  It really looked great on this card - but I didn't get a picture of it.

Theser were two of the other notecards.

I had a post it note holder at everyones station.  They all turned out so cute.  I want to make a bunch of these real quick and get them mailed off to my collegues.

This was a hot chocolate pack that was really quick and easy to make.  I wanted to have these at everyones station as well but did not get them done so I had everyone make their own.

These were the gift tags that we made and put a minature candy cane in each one for a treat.

Christmas Cards - Nov 2012

These are the Christmas Cards we made - I believe it was our November Class.

This card was made using the Snow Much Fun Set and the new Woodgrain Embossing Folder.

I had all these felt decorations from last year and wanted to use them up.  So we created cards that would use the felt decor.  They matched well with the Gumball Green and Cherry Cobbler colors.

I love the new rhinestones.  They add easy bling to projects.

This card would make a cute gift card holder but we just made it into a regular card using the Top Note die.

I bought the aviary stamp set and never used it so when I saw a similar card to this I had to pull out the set.  The punch is retired - another must have that I had never used so we pulled it out.  The bling ont he bottom of the bird cage is the center of the glimmer paper flower.  Then we used the silver dazzling details to and bling along the scallop border.

Snow Much Fun # 2

I love this card. I saw it in this months Stampin Success and knew I would be making it. I had not done a side stair step card before so I thought what a great opportunity to teach a new technique with one of my favorite sets. This card requires a lot of cutting so it takes some time. But the end result - oh so cute so I say worth it :)

Stitched Stockings # 2

This card was another quick and easy card. I had some extra dsp and ribbon from a couple years ago that I wanted to use. Liiked at a card with a similar design and the stitched stocking was created. Normally it takes me an hour or more to get a card designed. I loved that 4 cars took me less than 2 hours.

Merry Winter # 2

This was another card that we made this month in the Christmas Card Class. I needed some quick to put together cards as the final card was going to be a challenge card and take some time. The snowflake is from the Jingle Bingo Bits stamp set.

Christmas Lodge

I love this set but was debating on getting it as I have so many Christmas Stamps. In the end I decided to get it and am so glad I did. I cased this card from Jan Tink - changing it up slightly. A great card to use up some of those snowflakes :) This was one of the cards for our September Christmas Card Class.

The Sounding Joy # 2

I love the colors of this card (Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla) and how elegant it looks. It uses the quilted satan ribbon and Snow Burst the new textured impression embossing folder.

Snow Much Fun

I love this stamp set. When I saw it in the catalog I knew I would be getting it. These cards are made using Baja Breeze and Riding Hood Red. I have so many of these snowflakes that I am looking for projects to use them on.

Merry Winter

I got this set needing a few small snowmen for a card idea I had. I haven't created that card yet - but wanted to make sure they got put to good use. I have too many stamp sets that went new and unmounted and retired. So my goal is to use all stamp sets that I purchase this year :)

Stitched Stockings

I copied this card directly from the Holiday Mini. I used Pear Pizzazz and Cherry Cobbler. I think Cherry Cobbler is my new favorite color. A tip for this card - the center stocking was inked in Cherry Cobbler and then the Argile portion cleaned off and colored with the Pear Pizzazz marker. The Cherry Cobbler still comes through. So I recommend you do them on separate pieces and cut out the argile portion to adhere to the stocking.

Gifts of Christmas - Aug 2011

I made this card in the past without a colored backing. I love this set and it works great using the Popping Pastels technique.

The Sounding Joy # 1

I didn't take this picture on the best background. This was one of the cards we did in our August Christmas Card class. This was my least favorite one of the five. I love the stamp set - I wished I would have brought the dsp all the way down the card if I did it again.

Snow Card

This was a card I saw on Ashley's blog last year and made them for a club night. It uses Early Espresso and Crumb Cake. It is embossed with the snowflake envelope and then sponged white fraft over the snowflake images. I love this card. Very classy and very easy :)
