This year we are going to make 3 designs for each month and make 12 cards. Here is one of the cards we made this month. it is on the glitter paper to cover up the stamped scratch paper underneath :)

Paper: Real Red, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Polka Dots DSP
Ink: Real Red
Accessories: Linen Thread, Button

The strips at put on with dimensionals and the stamp is retired. I usually put out all my sayings and people can choose what they want.
This was my second attempt at a motorcycle cake. I made it for a baby shower. I found the directions on Pinterest. I think it turned out so much better then my first one.

I had a couple of classes in June with a patriotic theme. The frame was in a class of its own using various punches. I live this frame. It is so stinkin' cute. These frames have been so much fun.

There was a pin on Pinterest that showed a cute wood flag with Chevron stripes. That piece inspired the Chevron cards.

The tissue box is also just as cute as can be. This was inspired by a square in the frame and by the banner.
I love them! I am so glad this stamp set carried forward from the spring mini last year. It is a great set to use for Masculine cards.
It is really cute and was really easy to make as she did a lot of the pre-work - Thanks Jess. I am now offering this class to my stamping friends on May 10th and May 11th. Just in time for Mothers Day.
A friend brought me a cute St. Patricks Collage and that was my inspiration to make this frame. I love the way it turned out. Most everything was punched out from scraps. I made 3 of these - two Easter gifts and one to keep.

I created this treat box for our Easter class this past week. Very quick and easy. This is made out if a 12x12 piece of cardstock and 2 pieces of designer series paper. I have a lot of old designer series paper that I am trying to use up.

I was going to make them for the ladies I visit monthly but decided it was too time consuming. I love the owl punch and sad to say it has seen it's last days so will need to order a replacement on my next order. I downloaded the fry box from someone using the user name qbee. I have attached the link here: Fry Box Template.
I got the idea on Pinterest.

Supplies Needed:

Box of tissue (I have made a few of these with different brands and they all work)
Two 5 1/8” x 9 1/2” pieces of Real Red cardstock (base)
One 6 9/16” square piece of Real Red cardstock (lid)
Four 4 ¼” x 3/4” pieces of Whisper White cardstock (base layers)
One 4 ¼” square piece of Going Gray cardstock (top layer)
One 4" square piece of Whisper White Cardstock
Four 4 1/4" x 3/4" Silver Glimmer Paper
Whisper White and Silver Glimmer Paper for the Snowflake
Scoring tool
Adhesive (I used sticky strip and snail)
Scissors
Snowflake Die
Framelets - Labels Collection
Big Shot
Embossing folder ( I used the Pointsetta One)
Hearts Border Punch

Assemble Base:
1. Score the long sides of each of your two 5 1/8” x 9 1/2” pieces of cardstock at 1/2" and 5".

2. Using sticky strip adhere side “A” on the first piece to side “B” on the second piece. Refer to drawing.
3. Repeat with other side. This creates your base.

Assemble Lid:

1. Score the 6 9/16" square piece of cardstock at 1" along all 4 sides.
2. Cut each corner on the red lines (up to the scored line) as shown in the drawing below

3. At this point I layered the Going Gray onto the center of the lid. Then layer the Whisper White piece on the lid but do not adhere down.
4. Center the framelit on the lid and fild up one of the sides so that it will git through the Big Shot. Sorry I did not take pictures of this process. You need to make sure that the paper is set on the platform just right so all will smoothly run through the big shot.
5. Remove the Whisper White piece and rerun that through the Big Shot with embossing folder.
6. Adhere the white piece to the top of the box lining up the Framelit cuts.
7. Run the four 4 1/4"x3/4" pieces through the Big Shot with the embossing folder.
8. Using the hearts edgelet punch - edge the four pieces of glimmer paper.
9. Adhere the edgelets and white edges to the lid sides.
10: Fold and adhere all four tabs (marked “X” in the drawing) to form the box lid.
11, Cut out the snowflakes using the glimmer paper.
12. Put the lid on the box and then put the snowflakes on all four sides.

I love these. Have since made a Valentine and St. Patrick's Day box. Pics to come later.
I had some mica flakes from a year or two ago that I never used and thought this would be the perfect place to use them. So I covered the ground with these mica flakes. I also has some of the felt snowflakes left over so I incorporated them into the project as well.
We took Designer Series Paper and made 4 coasters and a trivit. I talked to my step-daughter Melissa about this and she decided to make some for her friends. These were her sets. The second set was for her friend that is a big Batman fan. What we learneed from out experience.

1. Cover the file first with Modge Podge. Put down your first layer of paper. (For the class all we had was one layer of paper).
2. Let the layer dry completely before apply a layer of Modge Podge on top. If you put it on too early the paper will bubble up.
3. We ended up putting 3 layers of Modge Podge on the paper - letting it dry in between layers.
I found them at Walmart for .97 cents for an individual whisk. Most stores had from 0-3 availalbe. So I finally ended up getting the 3 pack in three sizes - after all they were going to different locations. This was also a great way to use up some retired ribbon.
I used the new Woodgrain Embossing folder, The folder tends to cut through the paper so a tip is to put a piece of Vellum in one side of the folder and adhere it to the folder. It should eliminate the cuts through the paper. This card was made from the scrap bin. It is my first tri-shutter card and it is my favorite. Shirley commented that this would make a cute Halloween card - to dress up the owls in Halloween Costumes and have them in the tree. I love it and plan to put her idea into action.
