Snow Much Fun # 2

I love this card. I saw it in this months Stampin Success and knew I would be making it. I had not done a side stair step card before so I thought what a great opportunity to teach a new technique with one of my favorite sets. This card requires a lot of cutting so it takes some time. But the end result - oh so cute so I say worth it :)

Stitched Stockings # 2

This card was another quick and easy card. I had some extra dsp and ribbon from a couple years ago that I wanted to use. Liiked at a card with a similar design and the stitched stocking was created. Normally it takes me an hour or more to get a card designed. I loved that 4 cars took me less than 2 hours.

Merry Winter # 2

This was another card that we made this month in the Christmas Card Class. I needed some quick to put together cards as the final card was going to be a challenge card and take some time. The snowflake is from the Jingle Bingo Bits stamp set.

Christmas Lodge

I love this set but was debating on getting it as I have so many Christmas Stamps. In the end I decided to get it and am so glad I did. I cased this card from Jan Tink - changing it up slightly. A great card to use up some of those snowflakes :) This was one of the cards for our September Christmas Card Class.

The Sounding Joy # 2

I love the colors of this card (Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla) and how elegant it looks. It uses the quilted satan ribbon and Snow Burst the new textured impression embossing folder.

Boo Bowl!

Shirley found these cute little Halloween bath gels at a local discount shop. They had different shapes but the spider was my favorite. We started discussing how we could use these. We got packages of black bowls at the dollar spot. They came in sets of 4. We then saw the bath scrubbies that came in sets of 2 and Shirley commented that these would make a great filler. Since I travel so much - I have all these travel size shampoos. lotions, conditioners and soaps. We covered them with designer series paper and there it was - these cute little BOO bowls. It will be fun to display them in the bathroom or give one to company if they are visiting in October. My sister does a spooky Halloween party for the grandkids and this would be fun favors for them to have at the party.

House of Haunts

My friend Shirley and I were looking through a Stampin Success and we saw this cute little bag with the image stamped on the Wood Sheets. We decided to try it - one with handles and a more manly one without :) This will be one of the projects in the Halloween Stamp Camp.

Halloween Advent Calendar

I saw this project on a 2009 Stampin Success Magazine. I wanted to make it back then but it got put to t he wayside. Going back through the old magazines I saw it again and decided to make it. How fun to have an advent calendar where you can put in little wrapped up candy bars and little notes for fun things to do in October - such as watch a scary movie, carve pumpkins, decorate the house...

Snow Much Fun

I love this stamp set. When I saw it in the catalog I knew I would be getting it. These cards are made using Baja Breeze and Riding Hood Red. I have so many of these snowflakes that I am looking for projects to use them on.

Merry Winter

I got this set needing a few small snowmen for a card idea I had. I haven't created that card yet - but wanted to make sure they got put to good use. I have too many stamp sets that went new and unmounted and retired. So my goal is to use all stamp sets that I purchase this year :)

Stitched Stockings

I copied this card directly from the Holiday Mini. I used Pear Pizzazz and Cherry Cobbler. I think Cherry Cobbler is my new favorite color. A tip for this card - the center stocking was inked in Cherry Cobbler and then the Argile portion cleaned off and colored with the Pear Pizzazz marker. The Cherry Cobbler still comes through. So I recommend you do them on separate pieces and cut out the argile portion to adhere to the stocking.

Gifts of Christmas - Aug 2011

I made this card in the past without a colored backing. I love this set and it works great using the Popping Pastels technique.

The Sounding Joy # 1

I didn't take this picture on the best background. This was one of the cards we did in our August Christmas Card class. This was my least favorite one of the five. I love the stamp set - I wished I would have brought the dsp all the way down the card if I did it again.

Halloween Decor Stamp Camp

I have been planning a Halloween Stamp Camp and wanted to use the Decor Elements. This is the second frame that stampers will be able to choose to make. I then used the spiders for the Spooky Bingo Bits game and the Halloween Bag. There will be 2 more projects along with these 3 but they are still under constructon.

This stamp camp will be on Sept 30th at 6:00 pm. Class cost is $25. Please bring your own adhesive. Please send your RSVP to KristinesCreations@comcast.net. Hope to see you there :)

These were the first 3 calendar pages for the Birthday Calendar class we did last fall.

Boooooooooo

I am prepping for my Halloween stamp camp and wanted to use the Decor Elements in the class. This is one of the frames that they will be able to choose from. I stamped the background with the spiders from Scardy Cat and the webs from Wicked Cool. I punched out Daffodil Delight circles and put them behind the pumpkins to make them look like they were lit up.

Snow Card

This was a card I saw on Ashley's blog last year and made them for a club night. It uses Early Espresso and Crumb Cake. It is embossed with the snowflake envelope and then sponged white fraft over the snowflake images. I love this card. Very classy and very easy :)

Let It Snow

Dave got this card last year for Christmas. I found it recently while packing/unpacking and thought this would make a great stamping up card.

So this is what I came up with. It is embossed with the bigshot with the snowflakes folder. Then the letters are all cut out with the big shot as well. I went to the scrap drawers and found a real red snowflake print paper, then used Night of Navy and some shade of yellow. I think it was Crushed Curry. I was going through some embellishements to find something for the "o" and found these old snowflake brads. And then an old star brad for the "i". There you go - my version of the commericial card :)

Frame Class

I have been wanted to do the Name Frame Class for quite some time now and just never put it on the calendar. As I was unpacking my stamp stuff an dputting away the frames I thought - I just need to get this scheduled. This was a last minute class (less than a week) but we had a few takers. These are the frames that were created. I was so proud of my ladies :)

I wanted to make a frame with my new last name but I wanted to use Early Espresso for the background first layer but I needed 12x12 size and didn't have any so I made one for Dave's parents for Christmas. I used Chocolate Chip, Marina Mist, Crumb Cake and Cajon Craze.

This is Colleen and she loves to read. When asked what she wanted to use she wanted to say I {heart} books. I loved the way it turned out. The color combo used was Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Pear Pizzazz, and Very Vanilla.

This is Gwenda. She made her family name. It is a very soft color and very beautiful. She used Blush Blossom, Chocolate Chip, Pear Pizzazz and Very Vanilla.

This is Melinda. Her frame has a special story. Today she is becoming the guardian of a 15 year old girl - Amara. Amara is very lucky to have someone who cares about her so much and her well-being. Melinda wanted to welcome Amara to their family so she made her this frame. She used Chocolate Chip, Blush Blossom, Crumb Cake, and Very Vanilla.

This is Shirley and she did her family name as well. The stamping and the frame look so great together. Shirley used Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Marina Mist and Very Vanilla.

Great job ladies. You are all so talented and did a great job! This was so fun. I so look forward to next time.
